Call for Nominations – National HAB Committee

The National Harmful Algal Bloom Committee (NHC) was established for the purpose of providing a collective voice of the academic, management and stakeholder communities interested in national HAB issues.

They are soliciting nominations for individuals to serve on the NHC for a period of three years. They welcome nominations for one post-doc or early career researcher (< 3 years post PhD) to serve as an ex-officio member (i.e. non-voting) for a period of one year, with the potential for re-election for a second one year term. The NHC voted to include this position in order to bring in early career HAB researchers to participate in discussions at the national level and help disseminate information to their peers. We encourage nominations of post-docs with specific interests in research coordination and policy implementation at the national level.

Self-nominations are welcome! Members may be re-elected for one 3-year term but may not serve more than two consecutive terms. To be re-elected, a nomination or self-nomination is required.
